How to become a Member of C&A
Membership is open to any lady who is a golfing member of a Club affiliated to C&A. All you have to do is find your Club's C&A representative or Delegate and tell them you want to join.
Names & subscriptions are usually collected around Christmas time but you can join throughout the year.
What does it cost?
Currently, just £6 plus a further £6 if you want a County Card. The County Card lets you play at any of the affiliated Clubs, three times per year, at very favourable rates.
#
For more information, see the next section.
What do you get for it?
You are entitled to play in C&A competitions, provided you are eligible (some comps have handicap limits). There are three main comps per year: the County Championships, usually held straight after Easter; the County Greensomes, normally held in August, and the Autumn Meeting, held during the first week in October. Other comps are held from time to time.
As a member, you may also be selected to play for the County team - a considerable honour!
Are there any restrictions on membership?
You can't be a member of C&A if you are already a member of another County Golf Association in Wales. (You can however join C&A if you belong to a County Golf Association in another country, eg. England!).
C&A County Card
The County Card is available for purchase (currently £6) by any member of C&A who holds a current WHI. It entitles the holder to play 3 rounds of golf (18H) at any C&A affiliated club at a favourable rate, subject to the terms & conditions under which the county card is held. Clubs have different rates - for full details of the rates and the conditions, please download the information sheet via the link below.
How C&A is run
C&A was founded in 1924 and has a Constitution which is regularly updated to meet changes in the world of golf. The Association is run on a day-to-day basis by the Management Committee, made up of officials and ordinary committee members elected at the AGM.

The Management Committee is in turn controlled by a committee of Delegates (one from each affiliated club) which usually meets three times a year.

The Management Committee consists of the President, County Captain, Vice-Captain and Immediate Past Captain, the Hon Secretary & Hon Treasurer, the Girls' Manager and two representatives from among the members of the Association.

In addition to the Management Committee, there are two selectors who assist the Captain in choosing the County team.

See the section below headed 'Important documents' for a link to the current Constitution & Regs in both Welsh and English.
